of the old style gear-boxes is the design of the gearboxes, and the relatively flimsy chassis . </div> <div> By stiffen the chassis the life-expectance of these gear-boxes can be extended .</div> <div> For the old style gear-boxes is a gear-box-re-enforcement-kit available ,</div> <div> ( as I used it in my old King Tiger , see photos ).</div> <div> Since there is nothing for the new style gear-boxes , I made chassis-re-enforcement-plates</div> <div> For the Tiger 1 and old and new King Tiger .</div> <div> The chassis-plates bolt to the tank from the bottom with counter-sunk-screws , what gives a smooth bottom without having any screws sticking out .</div> <div> These plates are made from 1/8 ( 3mm ) Alloy and have all holes to mount any gear-box in any tank , means you could use
