The blue one is my modified version of Tamiya's MB 1838

Tamiya's MB 1838 as Race-truck

fort this conversion I used 2.2" street-truck-tires,

oil-shocks and some weight on the rear to increase traction .

even thought I wanted a race-truck , I don't like the original gearing ,

so I installed my 3:1 Gear-Reduction for 1/14 scale Tamiya's Semis-Trucks .

since it's almost a shame to "bang up" this detailed truck for racing ,

I decided to build a "true race-truck" :

this is my modified version of the TL01-chassis based race-truck from Tamiya .

( the tires and rims I used on this prototype are slightly larger then the ones

shown in the photos below )

basicly a touring-car-chassis with truck-body

since these special-edition tamiya kits are not available in the USA,
